SVSU Women's Basketball Finalizes 2018-19 Recruiting Class

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – The Saginaw Valley State Women's Basketball team has finalized its 2018 recruiting class, as four prep standouts (2 from MI, 1 from OH and 1 from WI) have officially signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at SVSU.

This year's recruiting class features Maddie Maloney (St. Johns, MI / St. Johns HS), Ashley Buchholz (Omro, WI / Omro HS), Kyndall Spires (Cardington, OH / Cardington-Lincoln HS) and Haley Nelson (Sandusky, MI / Sandusky HS).

"We've been waiting for a long time for this signing day to arrive! Adding Kyndall and Haley in this late period to the 2018 class is exactly what we needed. Having Maddie and Ashley sign in the early class gave us a great start, but we knew we needed to address some size needs and we are excited to add them to the Cardinal family! These four fit all the competitive and academic qualifications we are looking for to move this program forward and have many of the intangibles needed to be successful at the collegiate level" – SVSU Women's Basketball Head Coach Jamie Pewinski
