UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team will look to carry the momentum from a Tuesday night 63-40 victory over the Northwood University Timberwolves in the opening round of the 2016 GLIAC Tournament.
The no. 2 seeded Lady Cardinals (21-7) will square-off against no. 6 Grand Valley State (21-8) on Saturday (Mar. 5) in a 2:00 p.m. contest at Ashland's Kates Gymnasium. Saginaw Valley has claimed both meetings between the teams this year, posting a 68-65 win over the Lakers at home on January 28 before adding a 75-71 decision over GV on February 18 in Allendale.
The winner of this semifinal game will meet the winner of the no. 1 Ashland (28-1) vs. no. 4 Walsh (20-8) contest, which is set to precede the SVSU vs. GVSU game at noon. The tournamnet championship tilt is set for Sunday (Mar. 6) at 1:30 p.m.

Ticket Information
Single-game tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. There also is an all-tournament pass, available for $53 for reserved, $35 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. The all-tournament pass includes tickets for all four sessions.
GLIAC passes will be honored at all games. There is no free admission for faculty/staff.
Tickets can be bought at the Ashland business office (419-289-5022), in the lobby on game day or online.
