UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI –This month's Women's Basketball "Get to Know" spotlight is of freshman guard, Hannah Settingsgaard. Hannah comes to the Cardinals from Oak Creek, WI after a standout high school career at Oak Creek High School.
Below are a few comments from Head Coach, Jamie Pewinski, about Hannah Settingsgaard:
"Hannah has a had a really good freshman year and continues to earn more minutes as she has become acclimated to the college game. She's an excellent on-ball defender who is capable of guarding bigger guards. She battles in the post when she has to, but is still capable of containing dribble penetration from smaller guards. Hannah has fit in well with her teammates and we look forward to watch her game continue to evolve" – Coach Pewinski

"It has definitely been an adjustment being a college student-athlete but I've loved my time spent at SVSU so far and I can't wait to make more memories here!"

Why did you choose SVSU?
I thought the campus was beautiful, it's the perfect size, offers my major, and most importantly to play basketball!
What is your favorite part of campus?
The Ryder Center. I absolutely love our gym. A big chunk of my day is spent there!

The Divergent Series
What is your favorite food?
Culvers!
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My sister, Katie. I strive to be half the person she is. She pushes me to be my best self and I wouldn't be where or who I am today without her.
What is your favorite music group/artist?
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Watching Netflix, specifically One Tree Hill! I also enjoy eating, shoe shopping, and listening to music SUPER loud.
What is your career ambition?
