Below are a few comments from Head Coach, Jamie Pewinski, about Jess Alexander:

"Jess has proven herself to be a really special asset to our 2014-2015 team. She has been able to quickly pick up our game play during the transition from high school to college. Her teammates recognize and feed off of her positivity and restlessness - relentless. We expect her to develop rapidly and provide key minutes for us this season. She is a proven winner and we very excited to have her as part of our program. There are big things ahead for Jess."

What is your favorite movie?

I don't have a favorite movie but I like most comedy movies…I guess I like to laugh.

What is your favorite food?

I love all types of foods, but I think my Mom's home cooking is the best.

Who is your greatest inspiration?

My parents are my greatest inspiration. They've been extremely supportive and hard working all of my life and I hope to grow up to be just like them one day.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I am looking forward to meeting new people and having an awesome basketball season with my teammates.

What is your career ambition?

My career ambition is to work with kids and coach basketball.

If you could meet one person in your lifetime who would it be?

If I could meet one person it would have to be Pat Summit. I would love to meet her because she's been a huge idol for me growing up. She is such an intensely passionate coach and I want to adopt her coaching style as I grow up to be a coach.

What's the biggest adjustment you've had to make since being in college?

The biggest adjustment I've had to make is getting used to being away from home. I'm a huge family person. I do miss my family often.
