SVSU Women's Basketball 'Get to Know': Danielle Carriere

SVSU Women's Basketball 'Get to Know': Danielle Carriere

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – This month's SVSU Women's Basketball "Get to Know" spotlight is freshman guard, Danielle Carriere. Danielle hails from London, Ontario and is the older sister of teammate, Katelyn Carriere. She is team captain and has already established herself as someone the Cardinals will rely heavily on this season and for years to come.

Below are a few comments from Head Coach, Jamie Pewinski, about Danielle Carriere:

"Danielle is an unbelievable player, student and person. She has a tremendous work ethic and a true desire to become a better player. I know for a fact that her teammates go to her with a lot of things and she has definitely made a positive impact on our program since her arrival.

She is one of the best shooters on our team, but it's the things she does that don't necessarily show up on a box score that we love about her. I think Danielle's best basketball is ahead of her and I have no doubt with her attitude she will continue to help us point our program in the positive direction. We are lucky to have Danielle here with us."
