Saginaw Valley Defeated By Elizabeth City State, 65-59

ETTRICK, Va. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team fell to Elizabeth City State University Saturday (Nov. 27) by a score of 65-59. The Cardinals fall to 1-3 overall on the season while Elizabeth City improves to 3-5 overall on the season. The contest was part of the 2010 Chick-Fil-A Classic hosted by Virginia State.

Meijer "Player of the Game" Aysha Boston (Detroit, Mich./Renaissance HS) had ten points, six assists, and no turnovers for Saginaw Valley, while freshman Kristen Greene (Brown City, Mich./Brown City HS) led the way with 15 points and three rebounds. Sophomore Cheritee Green (Wyoming Park, Mich./Wyoming Park HS) added eight points and nine rebounds for the Cardinals.  Saginaw Valley shot 5-for-7 from behind the three point line for a 71.4 free throw percentage.

The Cardinals will return to action on Monday (Nov. 29) when they face off against Virginia Union. Tip off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
