BAY CITY, Mich. - Cheritee Green (Wyoming Park, Mich./Wyoming Park HS), a sophomore forward on the Saginaw Valley women's basketball team has been chosen as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) "Player of the Week", it was announced by the conference office.
Green was dominate in the Cardinals 75-70 opening season win over Lewis University (Ill.) when she scored 15 points and pulled down an impressive 18 rebounds in her first career game at SVSU. Green was clutch down the stretch for the Cardinals as she ripped down 11 of those rebounds and scored nine points in the second half to hold off the Lewis charge.
