ST. LOUIS – Eight members of the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team competed at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Friday night. Three members of the women's team and five Cardinal men's runners competed in the 5K at the meet.

Maddie Isola was the top finisher on the women's side as she finished the 5K in 38^th after recording a time of 17 minutes and 36.38 seconds. Lynsey Amthor followed in 42^nd with her time of 17:43.09. Alexis Tracy was the final runner for SVSU, as she finished 72^nd with a time of 18:28.07.

Nick McArdle led the Cardinal men's team with a 5K time of 14:40.55 to place 24^th. Thomas Hufton finished 33^rd as he clocked a 14:46.04 in the race. Noah Verlinde ran to finish 37^th with a time of 14:51.75. Carson Hersch placed 70^th after crossing the finish line at 15:15.00. Jack Lobodzinski rounded out the times for SVSU at 15:17.30 to place 76th.
