Dominic Suliman Earns Second Consecutive GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University junior Dominic Suliman earned his second consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Suliman had another record-setting performance at the SVSU Tune-Up Meet this past weekend. The junior broke the mile run by 2.38 seconds with his second-place finish of 4:02.38, currently ranking him 11th in the NCAA Division II Indoor rankings.

Last week, Suliman earned the first conference weekly award of his career as the anchor of the SVSU DMR team that broke a forty-year-old record at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 9:48.71.

The SVSU track and field team will compete in the GLIAC Indoor Championships hosted inside the fieldhouse at Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday and Sunday, February 23-24.
