UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Saginaw Valley State University Track & Field and Cross Country programs are set to release their All-Decade Team when the new year hits. We will be releasing the top performances for each year every day until January 1 when the All-Decade Team is announced.
Tenth on our list for 2019 and the top performance of that season for the Cardinals is Lauren Huebner. Huebner, who is a native of Saginaw, Michigan, is a multi athlete and hurdler for the Cardinals. She is a two-time All-American for SVSU heading into her senior campaign.
Top Performance of 2019 - Lauren Huebner
Lauren Huebner capped-off the decade with a National Championship in the Women's Heptathlon at the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Earlier, during the indoor season, Huebner finished third in the Pentathlon. She currently holds four school records in the 60m and 100m hurdles as well as the Pentathlon and Heptathlon. Off the track & field performance stage, Lauren was named a winter recipient of the GLIAC Commissioner's Award and was named a Google Cloud First Team Academic All-American as well.
