TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's track team had a small group of athletes compete in the Tiffin Alumni Open today (Dec. 14). The women set two new school records in the 60-dash and the high jump. Alona Olshevska bettered her own school record by .01 running a NCAA DII Provisional qualifying time of 7.67 set last weekend at the season and home opener for the Cardinals. Cheyenne Williamson also set a new school in the high jump with a NCAA DII Automatic Qualifying mark of 1.76 meters.

Women
- Williamson earned a second place finish in the high jump competition with a new school record and NCAA DII Automatic Qualifying mark of 1.76 meters.
- Olshevska earned a third place finish and bettered her school record to 7.67 which is a NCAA DII Provisional Qualifying mark.
- Ali Aldrich placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 16.51 meters and had a seventh place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.60 meters.
