USTFCCA Releases All-Region Honorees

NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2018 NCAA Division II outdoor track & field season. Saginaw Valley State posted five men on the All-Region team, along with senior Andrew Mudd who finished as the top performer in the decathlon. 

2018 USTFCCCA NCAA DIVISION II ALL-REGION MEN'S HONOREES

  • Sam Black - Decathlon | Black is ranked 11th in the nation in this event after winning the GLIAC, with his personal best score of 6,991.

  • Parker Eisengruber - 1,500 meters | Eisengruber took 1st place the GLIAC in the 1500m. 

  • Tom Goforth - 10,000 meters | Goforth is 18th in the most recent national rankings with a time of 29:58.48 in the 10,000m run.  

  • Andrew Mudd - Decathlon | Mudd is currently ranked 6th overall in the nation.

  • Noah VanderVeen - High Jump | VanderVeen is tied for 12th place nationally in the high jump competition. He finished third at the GLIAC Championship with . 2.11m jump.
