GLIAC -- SVSU Track & Field senior student-athlete Andrew Mudd has been selected as the GLIAC Male Field Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Cerritos Invitational in California.
Mudd took home first place in the decathlon at the Cerritos Invitational and Combined Events in California this past weekend. He finished first in the 100m dash, 1,500m run and the pole vaulting events, totaling 7,118 points to end the day. Mudd is currently ranked fourth in the NCAA, first in the GLIAC, for the decathlon competition after the NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark.
The Cardinals are back in action this weekend, taking part in the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University and the Al Owens Classic, hosted by GVSU.
