NEW ORLEANS – All-America honorees for the 2018 Division II Indoor Track & Field season were announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Student-athletes earned First-Team All-America honors by virtue of finishing among the top-8 in their events, including as a member of a relay, at this past weekend's NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Senior Andrew Mudd earned his first team All-American accolade for finishing fifth in the nation for the men's heptathlon and breaking the previous school record he set at the GLIAC Championships score by two points.
Sophomore Sam Black followed closely behind, taking a seventh place finish in the men's heptathlon, earning first team All-American honors.
Junior Noah VanderVeen was the last Cardinal to recieve his All-American award after finishing eighth in the men's high jump competition.
The Cardinals have finished their indoor races for the 2018 season and will start the outdoor portion of the year at the end of March.
