Allendale, Mich. — The SVSU Track and Field team finished the weekend off with multiple top five finishes in the GLIAC Championships held at Grand Valley State University.

Overall, the women's team finished sixth (37 points) out out of nine teams, while the men finished fourth (103) out of eight GLIAC teams. 

Men's Results 

• In the men's heptathlon finals, SVSU notched the top three spots with senior Andrew Mudd taking home first with a NCAA Championship automatic bid score of 5398. Sam Black followed in second with an NCAA provisional score of 5171. In third was Joe Thwing with a final score of 4680, a NCAA provisional. 
• Noah VanderVeen finished first in the men's high jump competition with a 2.12m jump, an NCAA Provisional and his college best jump. Sam Black notched a sixth place finish, as well.  
• In the men's pole vaulting competition, Jacob Kulhanek finished with a 4.47m jump and took home fifth place overall. This was his college best jump. 
• Freshman Johnathan Johnson finished with a triple jump distance of 13.47m, earning five points for his team with a fourth place finish. 
• Ryan Kelly had an eighth place finish with a 16.13m throw in the men's shot put competition, earning an NCAA provisional mark.  
• Travon Phillips finished with a 6.95 time in the men's 60 meter finals, taking home fourth place. 
• Carter Eckhardt notched a sixth place finish with a 49.09 time in the men's 400 meter.
• Jordan Walters finished fifth in the men's 800 meter finals. 
• Parker Eisengruber finished fifth in the men's one mile run with a 4:13.82 time. 
• In the men's 3000 meter finals, Tom Gofourth finished fifth (an NCAA Provisional time) while Nate Frasier finished sixth. 
• In the men's 5000 meter finals, Goforth finished third and Frasier finished fourth. Both earned NCAA Provisional times. Clyde Anderson finished seventh. 
• Andrew Mudd finished seventh in the men's long jump competition with a distance of 7.02m, his college best. 
• In the men's 4x400 relay finals, SVSU's "A" team compiled of Eckhardt, Walters, Bowers and Mudd, finished fourth with a time of 3.18.25. 
• Brendan Nesbitt, Eckhardt, Walters and Eisengruber finished second in the men's distance medley relay finals. 

Women's Results 

• Morgan Fuerst finished third in the women's 800 meter finals with a 2:12.25 NCAA Provisional mark. 
• Alicia Tomlin notched a sixth place finish in the women's one mile run with a 5:10.95 time.
• Junior Allison Dorr finished with a time of 10:07.41 in the women's 3000 meter finals. Dorr also finished fifth in the 5000 meter finals with a NCAA Provisional time of 17:27.06. Dominique Adams finished eighth. 
• In the women's 4x400 relay, Saginaw Valley's "A" team of Lauren Huebner, Fuerst, Tomlin and Sydney Kreger, took home a seventh place finish overall with a time of 4:05.28.
• Saginaw Valley "A" team finished third in the women's distance medley relay with a time of 12:17.9.
• Also, the SVSU "A" team for the 4x400 relay finals with Huebner, Fuerst, Tomlin and Kreger finished seventh with a time of 4:05.28. 
• Brooke Sutyak hit a 3.27m mark in the women's high jump finals, finishing fifth overall as a freshman. 
• Lauren Huebner finished second overall in the women's pentathlon, with a NCAA Provisional and school record score of 3,542.

The SVSU Track and Field members will wait to see who will be sent to the NCAA Division II Championships hosted by Pittsburg State on March 9 and 10.
