NEW ORLEANS — The 2017 NCAA Division II Cross Country teams can add some more hardware to their trophy case. The individual All-Academic honor is awarded to those athletes who have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and finished among the top 30 percent of eligible runners at his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships. Saginaw Valley State has secured seven athletes who earned this accolade.
Individual Accolades:

- Branden Bohling
- Parker Eisengruber
- Timmy Kimball
- Kavi Kulkarni
- Austen Mandernach
- Morgan Fuerst
As for team accolades as a whole, each the men's and the women's teams received an All-Academic award. The men's team posted a 3.35 g.p.a. and the women's team had a 3.64 g.p.a.
