Cardinals Wrap-up Competition at Gina Relays and Calvin Tune-up

HILLSDALE, Mich - The Cardinals finished up at the Gina Relay after three days of competition. 

Alicia Tomlin took 19th in the 800 meter run, posting a time of 2:21.39.

In the 1,500 meter run, Dominique Adams placed 23rd with a time of 4:54.21.

Tori Peet finished eighth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:46.97.

In the 5,000 meter run, Allison Dorr finished 13th with a time of 17:38.81.

At the Calvin College Tune Up, the Cardinals posted top performances as well, with the women finishing third overall with 88 points and the men finishing fifth with 65.

In the 4x100 meter relay team of Bria Williams, Dominque Adams, Chelsi Collins and Ce'Aira Richardson took second with a time of 48.68.

The men's 4x100 relay team of Shawn Stewart, Blake Oakes, Keith Rodriguez and Brandon Love placed third at a time of 43.14.

Sam Black took second in the 110 meter hurdles, recording a time of 15.92.

Ce'Aira Richardson posted a time of 57.44 in the 400 meter dash, taking second place.

In the men's 400 meter dash, Sam Black finished first with a time of 49.24, followed by Keith Rodriguez in fourth at a time of 50.04.

Sidney Bischer finished fifth in the 100 meter dash, notching a time of 13.11.

In the 400 meter hurdles, Lina Davis took home first for the Cards, posting a time of 1:04.62.

Andrew Mudd took first as well in the same race with a time of 54.60.

Anna Fochesato finished first in the triple jump marking a distance of 11.27 meters. In the high jump, Fochesato posted a second place finish with a best height of 1.58 meters. Sidney Bischer followed in third with a mark of 1.55 meters.

In the men's high jump, Noah VanderVeen placed fourth with a height of 1.85 meters.

Makeda Lee-DeBardelben took third in the long jump with a mark of 5.05 meters.

Robert Atwater took third in the men's long jump, posting a jump of 6.85 meters. Sam Black took tenth with a mark of 6.10 meters.

In the shot put, Emerald Joiner finished first, throwing a best distance of 13.21 meters. Joiner took second in the discus throw, marking a distance of 42.36 meters.

Ryan Kelly took third in the men's shot put, recording a throw of 14.56 meters. Ben Morrow posted an eighth place finish at a throw of 13.31 meters, followed by Ryan Tilney in tenth with 13.20 meters.

Morrow also posted a fourth place finish in the discus, marking a distance of 46.55 meters. Tilney took ninth with a mark of 41.28 meters.

Devin Hartnagle took fifth in the hammer throw, recording a throw of 50.21 meters. Tilney finished 18th with a distance of 38.58 meters.

 

Up Next for the Cardinals...

The Cardinals will travel to Ferris State for the GLIAC Outdoor Championships next week, May 4th through the 6th.
