ALLENDALE, Mich. - The SVSU track and field team traveled to Grand Valley to compete in the Al Owens invite. 

Robert Tarpley took first in the triple jump and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships with a distance of 14.58 meters. Brady Watson finished eighth with mark of 12.97 meters.

Andrew Mudd finished sixth in the javelin throw with a best distance of 48.78 meters.

In the women's javelin throw, Cady Sandel posted a fifth place finish with a mark of 33.85 meters.

Anna Fochesato took fourth in the triple jump, landing at a final distance of 11.40 meters.

Up Next for the Cardinals...

The Cardinals will wrap up the Al Owens Invite tomorrow (April 23).
