SVSU Track & Field Hosts the Jet's Pizza Invitational

UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's track & field team kicked off the Jet's Pizza Invitational today in the Fieldhouse on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University. 

Bria Williams posted a first place finish in the 60 meter hurdles in the women's pentathlon with a time of 9.21. She earned fourth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:40.11 and tied for fifth in the long jump with 4.62 meters. Williams also recorded a sixth place finish in the shot put and high jump with distances of 6.55 and 1.49 meters, respectively.

Andrew Mudd took third in the 60 meter hurdles in the men's pentathlon with a time of 7.23. Mudd posted fourth place finishes in the long jump, high jump and shot put events with final distances of 6.79 meters, 1.88 meters and 11.49 meters, respectively. His shot put distance surpassed the old Fieldhouse record of 6.65 meters.

The Cardinals finish up the Jet's Pizza Invitational tomorrow morning, Saturday, January 30th with events starting at 10:00 am
