Cardinals finish competition at 2019 NCAA Division II Championships

INDIANAPOLIS -- The SVSU Swimming & Diving program had two student-athletes competing this weekend at the 2019 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships in Indianapolis. Elizabeth Caird participated in the diving portion while Amanda Thielen swam in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.

Below are the daily results and schedule for the events...

Thursday, Mar. 14 - Day 2 

Elizabeth Caird competed in the 1-meter dive event, posting a 15th place finish with 385.45 points. She will participate in the 3-meter dive event on Saturday as well for the Cardinals.

Friday, Mar. 15 - Day 3

Amanda Thielen began her competition in the national championships in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 30th place with a time of 56.88 seconds. She will be back in action Saturday in the 200 backstroke. 

Saturday, Mar. 16 - Day 4

Thielen finished 24th in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.91. Caird placed 19th in the 3-meter diving prelims with her score of 401.75.
