SVSU Swim & Dive Competes on Day Three of NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The SVSU Cardinal Swimming & Diving team competed on the third day of the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in North Carolina.

100 Breaststroke

Lydia Mattar posted a 22nd finish in the 100 breaststroke with a mark of 1:03.32, improving on her seed time of 1:03.93.

Shaun Yap was also 22nd in his breaststroke event, posting a time of 55.49 seconds. 

200 Butterfly

Rebeca Martinez notched a 29th place time of 2:06.63 in the 200 butterfly.

100 Backstroke

Amanda Thielen was 26th in the 100 backstroke, touching the board in a time of 56.67 seconds.  

1 Meter Diving

Wilhelmina Francisco finished in 19th place in the 1 meter diving event, posting a score of 367.75 points.

The Cardinals close-out action on Saturday (Mar. 17) for the fourth and final day of the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships. All action begins at 10:00 a.m.
