SVSU Hosts Wayne State in Final Dual Match of 2016-17 Season

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University swimming & diving team hosted the Wayne State University Warriors on Friday (Jan. 20) afternoon in the Gerstacker Regional Aquatic Center. 

The Cardinals swam well against one of the stronger teams in the GLIAC, but were unable to win against the Warriors.

"Our meet this afternoon against a very strong Wayne State team was a very successful meet for both the Cardinal women and men. Wayne State is consistently one of the top swimming and diving programs in the GLIAC and we were very competitive against them today. This team has come a long way this season and we are primed to have a great conference championship right here in our home pool, beginning February 8th."

Up Next...

The Saginaw Valley State Cardinals Swimming & Diving will now prepare for the GLIAC Championships taking place from Feb. 8 to Feb. 11. The four-day conference meet will take place at Gerstacker Regional Aquatic Center with events running throughout the course of the day.
