CLEVELAND, Ohio - The SVSU swimming teams competed on the first day at the Magnus Cup Invitationa, hosted by Cleveland State University. After the opening day of competition, the women and men each sit in seventh place in the overall standings, posting 78 and 150 points, respectively. The Cardinals had some solid top times while advancing to compete in finals of the events on day one.
Women
- 200 Yard IM A - Final | 9th | 2:07.03 | Lydia Mattar - Had a personal best time of 2:07.01 in the prelims.
- 50 Yard Freestyle A - Final | 4th | 23.48 | Melanie Soenksen - Personal best time in the event.
- 200 Yard IM A - Final | 8th | 2:06.93 | Rebeca Martinez - Time posted in the finals of the event.
Men
