Olivia Rea joined the SVSU Athletic Training staff in July 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer. She came to Saginaw Valley State University after serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Northeastern State University from August 2017 to May 2019.  

Rea is responsible for providing coverage for the Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Swim and Dive and Baseball teams at SVSU.  

A native of Parkville, MO, Rea graduated from the University Missouri, Columbia in 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. She went on to earn her Master's of Science degree in Health and Kinesiology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK.  

Rea has been a BOC certified athletic trainer since 2017. She holds memberships in the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and the Michigan Athletic Trainers' Society.
