Eric Krenz enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the SVSU Softball Team working with the Cardinal outfielders and hitters. Eric brings with him 15-plus years of combined coaching experience at the travel and high school levels.

He served as the Head Coach at Heritage High School from 2016-2019. In 2016 Heritage won their first District championship in 15 years. Prior to that, Eric spent 3 years as an Assistant Coach at Valley Lutheran High School. He also spent 7 years as a Head Coach with the Saginaw Bay Riverdawgs travel organization.

Eric is a Marine Corp veteran and graduate of the Fire Academy. He retired in 2020 from Saginaw Fire Department as a Captain after almost 24 years of service. He resides in Saginaw, Michigan, with his wife Angela of 25 years and has two daughters, Ashley and Sydney.
