For the second straight season, Saginaw Valley State University softball student-athlete Courtney Reeves has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-American Honorable Mention Team.

Reeves was named to the 2018 honorable mention squad at the utility position after being named to the same team as a designated player in the 2017 season. It's the first time that an SVSU player has earned all-american plaudits in multiple years.

Courtney led the GLIAC and team with 14 home runs, coming just one shy of her SVSU single season mark of 15 that she set in 2017. She added a team-best 43 RBI and walked 29 times while hitting .336. Reeves knocked 10 doubles, 50 hits and had a slugging percentage of .711. She finished her two-year Cardinal career with a batting average of .343 with an all-time program record of 29 home runs, adding 19 doubles, 87 RBI, 45 walks, 67 runs scored and a slugging percentage of .710. Her .343 batting average ranks her top-six in program history.

The Cardinals advanced to the 2018 Midwest Regional #2 Tournament for the second straight season and came just a single win shy of posting four straight seasons with at least 30 victories.
