ROLLA, Mo. - Saginaw Valley State University junior designated player Courtney Reeves has been selected to the 2017 D2CCA All-America Honorable Mention Team after her stellar first season with the Cardinals.

Reeves, who has earned First Team All-Midwest Region and First Team All-GLIAC honors this season, helped lead the Cardinals to the finals of the Midwest Regional #2 tournament. She finished the 2017 campaign with a new program record 15 home runs, ranking second on the team with a .351 batting average. Courtney tied for the team lead with 44 RBI and added nine doubles. Her .709 slugging percentage tied for the team lead, adding 33 runs and 16 walks for the 37-16 Cardinals.

Saginaw Valley notched 30-plus victories for the third consecutive season and participated in the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time since the 2011 season. The Cardinals graduate just a pair of seniors and will return a wealth of experience for the 2018 season.
