GLIAC Softball Tournament Central

FINDLAY, Ohio - There has been a change to the schedule and format of the 2017 GLIAC Softball Tournament, which was originally set to begin on Friday (May 5). Due to substantial rain in the Findlay area, the tournament has been moved back to a Saturday start and will now be a single emlimination format. The championship round will feature a best 2-of-3 series. The No. 3 seeded Cardinals are set to open against Hillsdale, the No. 6 seed, at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. 

The teams met earlier this season at SVSU, posting a split. Hillsdale claimed the first game by an 11-3 count before SVSU bounced back with a 9-4 win. Saginaw Valley is ranked No. 24 nationally and is currently the No. 4 ranked team in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings. The Cardinals carry a 31-14 overall record into weekend play.
