BAY CITY -- SVSU Softball student-athlete Courtney Reeves has been named the GLIAC Softball Player of the Week after her offensive play this past week.
Reeves had a big week offensively for the Cardinals in leading the team to a 4-2 record. She hit .375, going 6-for-16 with five home runs, nine RBI, a double and three walks. She had two multiple HR games and her two-run shot Saturday versus GVSU tied the SVSU single season record, as it was her 12th of the season. The 12 home runs are tied for the GLIAC lead.
Saginaw Valley is the No. 3 seed headed into this weekend's GLIAC Tournament and will face No. 6 Hillsdale Friday (May 5) at Noon. This year's tournament will once again be hosted by the University of Findlay at the Marathon Diamonds in Findlay, Ohio.
