Southgate Leads Cardinals in MSU Spartan Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich -  The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team competed at the Spartan Invitational today (9/12) in East Lansing, Mich.

Finishing first for the Cardinals was sophomore Joseph Southgate in 52nd with a time of 25:46.  Tom Goforth was next for Saginaw Valley, taking 109th in a time of 26:41.  Freshman Clyde Anderson made his race debut at the Invite, crossing the finish line at 27:12 good for 147th place.  Behind him was Eli Poth, taking 179th in a time of 27:42.  Also competing for the Cardinals were Thomas Kean and Trevor Thiebaut, taking 209th (28:16) and 233rd (28:40), respectively. 

Saginaw Valley will return to action October 4th to compete in the Northwood Invitational in Midland, Mich.
