BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country teams finished 12th today (11/5) at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships.
The Cardinals were led by junior Tyler Noble (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd HS) who earned All-Region Honors by finishing 18th overall with a final time of 33:03.60 for the 10k. Coming in behind Noble was junior Joseph Burelle (Sterling Heights, Mich./Livonia Stevenson HS) who clocked in at 33:51.90 which was good for a 48th place finish. Teammate Eric Spitz (Holt, Mich./Holt HS) would finish 69th overall with a final time of 34:17.80. Chad Scott (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern HS) and Jake Lauka (Oxford, Mich./Lake Orion HS) would come in at 34:55.40 and 35:25.10, good for 102nd and 112th place finishes. Senior Greg Baade (Warren, Mich./De La Salle Collegiate) would cross the line at 35:41.10 placing him 117th overall.
With the completion of the meet the SVSU men's cross country team ends their season and move into the indoor track and field season.
