EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Cardinal men traveled to Michigan State University for the 2008 Spartan Invitational Meet. This marked the first time the Cardinals had run in a meet for new head coach Grant Wall.

The Top four Cardinal runners finished within :33 second of eachother. Steve Genther (Laingsburg, Mich.) paced the Cardinals crossing the line in 37th with a time of 26:24. Following closely behind him at 26:39 was Derek Stone (Metamora, Mich./Lapeer East) and Courtland Seaver (Freeland, Mich.) at 26:51. Freshman Nick Ekel (Elsie, Mich./Ovid-Elsie)cross the stripe at 27:07 in 57th.

Saginaw Valley will next run at the Loyal Lakeshore Invitational in Chicago, Ill. on September 27.
