Track & Field Completes Day One At GLIAC Outdoor Championships

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University track & field teams completed day one of competition at the 2011 GLIAC Outdoor Championships, which are being hosted by Northwood University.  Day one consisted of the multi events. 

Tyler Grob (Pinckney, Mich.) finished the first day of competition in the lead of the men's decathlon with 3,503 points.  Grob posted first-place finishes in the shot put (12.10m) and 100-meter dash (11.43), as well as a runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash (49.62).  Aaron Wilkins (Schoolcraft, Mich.) sits in 11th place after the first day of competition.

The multi events get back under way today (5/5) at 9 a.m. while running events begin at 2 p.m.
