2008-09: Took first place in the 800-meter run at GVSU’s Bob Eubanks Open with a time of 1:53.68 and at SVSU’s Collegiate open…was a member of a first place 4x400 team at SVSU’s Collegiate Invitational and Collegiate Open where they finished with a time of 3:25.02…took second place in the 800-meter run at the GVSU Invitational with a time of 1:55.42 and in the 4x400-meter relay at SVSU’s Holiday Classic…finished third place overall at the NCAA Division II Team Challenge in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.85 and at the GLIAC Indoor Championship with a time of 1:54.61…took third place in the 400-meter dash at the SVSU Collegiate Open with a time of 51.12 seconds.

2007-08: Finished forth at GLIAC indoor in the 800-meter with a time of 1:56.4...finished in first place in the 800-meter run (1:52.61) at the GLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship...finished in first place in the 800-meter run (1:56.57)at the Collegiate Open Indoor Classic...qualified for outdoor nationals at U-of-M Invite in the 800-meter run...competed at the NCAA DII National Championships in California and finished sixth in his heat in the preliminaries for the 800-meter.

2006-07: Took first place in the 800-meter run at the SVSU Indoor Collegiate Open (1:55.74)... placed fifth in the 800-meter run at the Cardinal Indoor Open with a time of 1:57.95... finished ninth in the 800-meter run at EMU Classic (1:56.64)... took fifth place in the 800-meter run at the Jack Skoog Open with a time of 1:56.26.

Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at Kingston High School...honored as all-state in 2005 and 2006 in the 800m and set a school record at 1:57.20...majoring in Exercise Science...so of Rick and Amy Filipek...born 3/30/1988.
