Joseph Terry Added to Men’s Soccer Staff

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer head coach Louis Barrow announced the hiring of Joseph Terry to be the new assistant coach for the program.

"Joe is a very bright, enthusiastic coach with a brilliant eye for the game," said Barrow. "He will contribute massively toward all things analytics, film, and tactics. He already has a great track record of recruiting high-level players to the college game, and that comes from his passion, charisma, and hard work. Joe's level of professionalism across all things college athletics makes me very excited to get to work with him this year. We are proud to welcome him to our program."

Terry joins the SVSU coaching staff after serving as the Director of Soccer Operations and Player Development at the NCAA Division I member College of Charleston. He was the head of data and video analysis and contributed to the Cougars having an unbeaten home record in 2022 at 5-0-3. He also served as the head coach of the South Carolina Surf Soccer Club team and the Elite Futsal Charleston club team during his time with CofC.

"I am honored and excited to be joining the SVSU team along with Louis and everyone else on the athletic staff," stated Terry. "I look forward to contributing to the fantastic program and team that Louis has created and strive to improve players on and off the field. I am proud to be a part of this program and see where this exciting season takes us."

Terry played collegiately at Regis University (NCAA DII) from 2013-15 before transferring to the College of Charleston for his final season. He went on to play overseas professionally from 2018-2021.
