UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University is set to host the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Soccer Tournament this upcoming weekend at Braddock Field. The Cardinals earned the right to host the tournament after securing the 2016 GLIAC regular season championship with a 3-1 home victory over Northern Michigan University this past Friday.

The Cardinals enter as the no. 1 overall seed and will face no. 4 seed Lake Erie College on Friday (Nov. 4) at 1:00 p.m. The second semifinal match will be played prior to that contest, with no. 2 Northwood playing no. 3 Tiffin at 10:00 a.m. 

SVSU defeated the Storm on both occasions this regular season, posting a 2-1 overtime win on the road on September 23 and defeating them by a 4-2 count on October 21 at home.
