COLUMBUS, Ohio - The SVSU men's soccer team fell in a GLIAC men's soccer contest on the road to the Ohio Dominican Panthers on Friday (Oct. 14) evening in Columbus. The Panthers scored two second half goals against the short-handed Cardinals to secure the win.

After a scoreless first period where both teams recorded six shots, Ohio Dominican would take a 1-0 edge at the 74:53 point of the second when Shane Facemeyer beat the goalkeeper for the lead after the ball deflected off a Cardinal defender. The home squad would push the lead out to 2-0 when Tanner Ebright scored at the 88:09 point on a rebound off a save.

That score held true until the clock struck zeros, as ODU completed the victory.

ODU played with a lot of passion, like a team fighting to make the playoffs. I was hoping we would have fought harder because we have the league in our destiny but it wasn't meant to be. The key now is getting ourselves mentally and physically back for the game at Ashland on Sunday."
