COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 13th-ranked SVSU men's soccer team rebounded from a 3-2 loss at Lake Erie on Friday night with a huge 6-0 win at Ohio Dominican on Sunday afternoon to remain atop the GLIAC standings.

The Cardinals got three goals for senior forward Tyler Channell to take a 3-0 lead and another pair of goals from freshman midfielder Oluwatobi Oyeleye gave the visitors a 5-0 advantage heading into the halftime break.

Junior forward Matt Wilson added a second half goal and it made the score 6-0, which would prove to be the final count.

• Channell had a hat trick for the third straight Sunday, giving him 11 goals on the season to go along with 10 assists for 32 points. 
• Oyeleye's two goals give him six on the season and he has 14 points for 2015.
• Wilson's goal and two assists gives him 19 points on the year for SVSU.
• Alexandre Bouillennec (8-1-0) made two saves on the only two shots the Cardinals allowed on goal, marking his second shutout of the season.
• Channell had 11 shots in the contest, putting seven of them on goal. Three of those seven found the back of the net. 
• The Cardinals had 29 shots in comparison to the Panthers' seven overall. 22 of the 29 shots came in the first half for SVSU. 
• SVSU now has four of the top five point scorers in the GLIAC, as Channell (32), Jordan Kalk (20), Wilson (19) and Oyeleye (14) all rank atop the league.

"I was very happy with our response today after suffering a hard loss on Friday night. The first half, in particular, was very good. We came out with the drive and desire that I expect to see from players representing SVSU. Once again, our defensive shape and organization led to a number of very good attacking moments. Our attacking unit created and capitalized on a number of scoring opportunities that allowed us to enjoy a 5-0 halftime lead. I was also extremely pleased with our goalkeeper and defensive unit, as they thoroughly deserved this shutout. To bounce back today was big for our group but we still have a long way to go in the season and need to prepare for another road trip next weekend."
