#23 Cardinals Post 5-1 Victory Over Oilers

UNIVERSITY CENTER - The #23-ranked Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team hosted the University of Findlay Oilers Friday afternoon in the team's fourth GLIAC match of the season at SVSU's Braddock Field. The Cardinals took the lead early, scoring two goals in the first half, and then widened the lead in the second to close things out by a score of 5-1.

Saginaw Valley's first goal came from an unassisted Andrew Dalou score at the 9:59 minute mark. Jordan Kalk scored the second goal at 28:05, knocking in a header off an assist from Tyler Channell.

Findlay's only goal of the match was posted by John Clark at the 37 minute mark of the first half, taking SVSU's lead down to 2-1 anad carrying that same lead into halftime. 

Six minutes in to the second half, Kalk notched his second score of the game off a pass from Aleksandar Isaevski. The last two goals of the match were from Isaevski and Troy Watson. Isaevski scored off a pass from Oluwatobi Oyeleye. Watson's first career goal for the Cardinals was posted at the 77 minute mark off a pass from Alberto Gangutia.

Alexandre Bouillennec got the victory between the posts, improving his record to 6-0 overall on the 2015 season. Saginaw Valley improves to 6-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the GLIAC while the Oilers fall to 3-3-0 and 2-2-0 in league play.

The Cardinals play again at home on Sunday (9/27) against Tiffin University in a 3:30 p.m. matchup.
