ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team played the Warriors of Rochester College to a 1-1 tie today (Oct. 12) in a non-conference contest.
Rochester claimed the first goal of the contest off the foot of Brandon Horvath. Warriors held on to their 1-0 led over Saginaw Valley into the half. The Cardinals would get equalizer on an unassisted goal off the foot of Zach Walega (Saline, Mich. / Saline HS) in the 56th minute. Neither team would be able to notch another goal as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Cardinals outshot the Warriors 28-13, including 13-4 on goal.
SVSU will return to action on Sunday (Oct. 14) at 2:00 PM when they travel to Ashland University.
