Head coach Cale Wasserman stated, "We finished the season on a high note, a shutout at home, and that is a great confidence booster going into the offseason. I was extremely happy with today's performance from everyone on the field today, it was a team effort from front to back. I was happy to see all three of our seniors play the full 90 minutes and go out on a positive note with a win under their belts. All three guys were a pleasure to coach and I know they will do great in life after college, I want to thank them all for their hard work.

Today's win takes our overall record to 9-6-3 nearly doubling the win total from last year (5-11-3), this year was a great stepping stone to the future of SVSU soccer and we look forward to continuing our success as we work towards our goal of brining championships home to Saginaw Valley. I am proud of the steps we have made and the whole team looks forward to the challenge of improving again next year to reach that national level".

With the win, the Cardinals end their season with an overall record of 9-6-3 and a GLIAC record of 4-5-3 while Urbana falls to 6-10-2 overall on the season.
