BAY CITY, Mich. - Anthony Palazzolo (Warren, Mich. / De La Salle HS), a senior forward on the SVSU men's soccer team, has been chosen a the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Soccer "Athlete of the Week", it was announced by the conference office.
Palazzolo led the Cardinals to a pair of GLIAC victories last week. He tallied two assists in the Cardinals' 2-1 victory over Tiffin University, the two-time defending GLIAC Tournament Champion, on Friday. He then capitalized off a pass from freshman Zach Walega (Saline, Mich.) for the first marker in a 2-1 win over the University of Findlay. He currently ranks second on his squad and sixth in the GLIAC in points with six.
