Saginaw Valley Falls to Ohio Dominican, 1-0

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team fell today (Sept. 12) in a GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) against Ohio Dominican, 1-0.

The Cardinals had six shots on goal in the first half of play but were unable to find the back of the net making the game 0-0 heading into halftime.  The only gal of the contest game in the 69th minute of the game when Ohio Dominican capitalized on one of their 16 total shots giving them the 1-0 advantage.  Freshman Noah Sawyer (East Lansing/Haslett HS) had two shots on goal on the day, while goaltender Piotr Kazmierczak (Stargard, Poland) saved five shots on goal.

With the loss the Cardinals fall to 2-3 overall on the season, and 0-2 in the GLIAC, while Ohio Dominican improves to 2-0 overall on the season, and 1-0 in the GLIAC.  Saginaw Valley will be back in action on Friday (Sept. 17) when they face Tiffin University.  Game time is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
