Men's Soccer Tabbed To Finish Fifth In GLIAC

BAY CITY, Mich. - The head men's soccer coaches of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference have chosen the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals to finish fifth in preseason balloting.  The Cardinals totaled 12 points to tie the University of Findlay for fifth place in the poll.  SVSU, which is under the guidance of first-year head coach and Cardinal alum Cale Wassermann, looks to improve on a 5-11-3 overall record in 2009.

Ashland University, the 2009 regular season champion, was chosen to claim this year's title, getting 34 total points and four first-place votes.  Tiffin University, which has won the past two GLIAC Tournament titles, received the other three first-place votes while finishing in second place, two points (32) behind the Eagles.
