UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men’s soccer team fell to Ashland 4-0 today (Sept. 27) in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match-up.

Freshman Martin Savage (Canton, Mich. / Divine Child HS) was the offensive leader for the Cardinals with two shots, one of which was on goal.

With the loss the Cardinals’ fall to 1-6-2 overall on the season and 0-3-1 in the GLIAC, while Ashland improves to 4-2-3 overall on the season and 2-0 in the GLIAC. Saginaw Valley returns to play on Wednesday (Sept. 30) when they host Madonna University at 4:30pm.
