UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley
State University men’s soccer team fell to Ashland University
today (Oct. 18) 2-0 in a Great Lake Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) match-up.
The Cardinals competed well but were not able to get the ball past
the Ashland goaltender. Freshman Zachary Myers (Grand
Rapids, Mich. / Forrest Hills Eastern HS) led the Saginaw Valley
offense with three shots.
With the loss the Cardinals fall to 4-10-2 on the season and 1-5-1
in the GLIAC, while Ashland improves to 8-2-5 on the season and
4-0-2 in the GLIAC. Saginaw Valley returns to action on Saturday
(Oct. 24) when they travel to Ohio Dominican University at 4:00pm.
