UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw
Valley State University men’s soccer team competed at home
Sunday (Oct. 4) hosting Lake Erie College.
The Cardinals competed well but could not find the back of the net
and fell to the Lake Erie Storm, 2-0. Senior forward Kevin Fox (Flushing,
Mich. / Flushing HS) led the way for Saginaw Valley with nine total
shots, two of which were on goal. As a team the Cards had 22 shots
in the game but, unfortunately, could not get any of them past the
Storm’s goalkeeper.
With the loss Saginaw Valley’s record moves to 3-7-2 on the
season while Lake Erie moves to 4-6-1 overall. The Cardinals return
to GLIAC play again Friday (Oct. 9) when they host Tiffin
University at 4:30pm.
