Men's Soccer Ties Lewis, 0-0

Lewis, Ill. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team played to a draw today (Aug. 30) with Lewis University.

The Cardinal defense and goaltender Piotr Kamzmierczak (Stargard, poland/ Kellogg CC) held Lewis University to 20 shots, only eight of which were on goal.  Freshman Bryan Winnega (Troy, Mich.) led the Saginaw Valley offense with two shots.

With the tie the Cardinals move to 0-1-1 overall on the season, while Lewis moves to 1-0-1 overall on the season.  Saginaw Valley will be back in action on Friday (Sept. 4) when they will travel to John Carroll University at 5:30pm.
