Saginaw Valley Comes Back to Defeat Davenport, 2-1

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team defeated Davenport 2-1 today (Oct. 25).

The Cardinals would fall behind in the 28th minute of the game and would not be able to score in the first half.  Junior Anthony Palazzolo (Warren, Mich. / Western Mich. / Hope) would find the back of the net in the 55th minute of the game to knot the score at one.  In the 69th minute of the game senior Kevin Fox (Flushing, Mich.) would score off a pass from senior Collin Selahowski (Holy, Mich.) to give Saginaw Valley a 2-1 lead over Davenport. 

With the win the Cardinals improve to 5-10-3 overall on the season, while Davenport falls to 5-9-0 overall on the season.  Saginaw Valley will return home on Saturday (Oct. 31) to close out the regular season against Northwood University at 4:30pm.
