GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Saginaw Valley
State University mens soccer team tied Seton Hill 1-1 in
Greensburg, Pa. Friday afternoon.
Scoring the lone goal for the Cardinals, junior mid-fielder Vinny
Vasilevski (Shelby, Twp., Mich./Utica Eisenhower) took a pass from
Brandon LaBlanc and beat Seton Hill’s goalkeeper Jon DeLuca
at the 56 minute mark to tie the score at one. Vasilevski had three
of SVSU’s 15 total shots on goal.
Mining the net for the Cardinals, Piotr Kamzmierczak (Stargard,
Poland/Kellogg CC) had five saves on the game that went into
overtime.
SVSU takes the tie into their next match against Ashland
University on Sunday in Ashland, Ohio.
